Surgical Training and Clinical Experience

After graduating in 2012, Dr. Alavi completed her house job at Mayo Hospital, Lahore, where she discovered her interest in surgical disciplines. Recognizing the profound and immediate impact surgery can have on patients' lives, she pursued specialization in plastic and reconstructive surgery.

She was selected for the five-year integrated residency in plastic surgery at Mayo Hospital, the country’s largest and most recognized public hospital. Throughout her training, she participated in a wide range of reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, academic conferences, and research activities.

Her involvement in departmental and interdepartmental meetings earned widespread appreciation. At PAPSCON 2020, she won a prize for Best Short Paper Presentation for her research on: “Comparison of Nanofat Grafting vs. Nanofat Grafting with PRP in Post-Burn Facial Scars."

Her growing interest in fat grafting, which she is still perfecting for use in the face, breasts, hands, and buttocks, was reflected in this piece. She focuses on achieving results that feel and look natural.
